White House considers MI-5-type security division

The Bush administration is considering a major restructuring of the Justice Department that would create a powerful new national security division in an effort to better consolidate and coordinate terrorism and espionage investigations, officials say.

US calls on Bulgaria to not set definitive Iraqi withdrawal date

The US ambassador to Bulgaria, James Pardew, called Thursday for the Bulgarian parliament not to set a definite date for the withdrawal of its troops from Iraq, a parliament spokesman said.
