The Reuters news agency has today reported
on Former U.S. Army Brigadier General Janis Karpinski's assertions
that outgoing Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld authorized
the mistreatment of detainees at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.
This is an issue we broke over a year ago but at the time
it was the subject of a media blackout.
