Ron Paul Undecided On 2012 Presidential Run

But Congressman hints that new campaign would surpass success of 2008 Ron Paul Revolution

Following speculation by CNN and the L.A. Times last week that Ron Paul could be about to make an early announcement on a 2012 presidential bid, the Texas Congressman told the Alex Jones Show today that he was still undecided on whether to run.

As we highlighted last Thursday, Paul will visit the key early primary state of South Carolina on Nov. 9 to give a speech on “the future of individual liberty and the importance of the U.S. Constitution” at the University of South Carolina. He then moves on to Iowa, another key early presidential battleground, on Nov. 13 to speak to students at Iowa State University.

The scheduling of these speeches prompted both CNN and the L.A. Times to speculate that the Congressman could use such a platform to announce his intention to run for President in 2012.

However, Paul told the Alex Jones Show today that he was still undecided on the issue and that the timing was too early.

"I'm still thinking a lot about that right now," the Congressman told Jones, "It just doesn't seem like the best thing to do even long term or on a short term basis....I'm just undecided about the whole thing so I'm not about to say that I'm planning to do one thing or another....time is still a little bit early to start talking about it."

Paul may have dropped a subtle hint when he stated, "I think we'll do better if we ever do it again," suggesting that he will be able to surpass the success he had in 2008.

"But they just close down shop if they think you're going to win so you're going to have a lot of obstacles to overcome," said Paul, adding that if he were to run again he could take advantage of a national platform to get people talking about real issues once again, such as the Federal Reserve.

As Alex Jones has emphasized, Ron Paul is the only candidate who will inject real issues into an otherwise sterile debate format, and with the world government takeover unfolding at rapid pace, the timing could not be more prescient.

Paul would be able to harness a perfect soapbox opportunity to highlight the fact that the very things he has been warning about for decades are all coming into fruition as we approach 2012. From the falling dollar to taxes on carbon emissions, the Congressman’s predictions are all coming to pass, giving him more credibility in the public eye.

All I can hope for is Dr. Paul to run. He has shown that he adherer's the the US Constitution. The only bad thing is that the Corporate Media will get behind someone like Romely or Huckabee, and the drones in this country will vote for them. Sadly, the fountain of kool-aid is never ending.
