A Cemtrail(s) a Day Keeps the Sunshine Away
Pete Harris | November 23 2004
Note: These events took place in Western Pennsylvania, November 11 2004.
When the day began the sky was clear and a beautiful deep blue color. The temperature was about 60 degrees with low humidity so I took my dog and cat for a walk around 8:00am. It was Veterans’ Day 2004 so I had the day off. This made me happy as I was planning on golfing later. On the way back to the house I noticed a high altitude jet moving across the sky from east to west leaving a long, white trail behind it. No big deal, right?
At about 9:30 my wife and I decided to do some shopping that we’ve been putting off. She remarked on the quality of the day as we set out. We entered the highway and noticed other planes in the sky. After about 15 minutes we reached our destination and at least four contrails were visible across the sky which were very thick. They stretched as far as the eye could see in either direction.
After spending about an hour or so shopping we walked across the parking lot to our car, and were stunned. There were contrails everywhere! Some crossed over other trails leaving at least three large “X’s” in the sky. The trails we saw initially on the way to the store were still there over an hour later but had been joined by several more. I’m a physics teacher and nothing in my experience and education tells me that contrails, or water condensation trails, should last quite that long. I began to question what we were seeing. There were two other people standing in the parking lot looking at the same thing we were with a seeming equal amount of curiosity.
As we returned to the highway there were other planes in the sky spewing thick, white contrails behind them. At one point on the way home we had counted about 10 different planes. I’m not an air traffic expert but I cannot believe there could possibly be that much air traffic over our area at the same time. I’ve lived here all of my life and have never seen that many planes in the sky at the same time.
Upon exiting the highway we turned on a winding two-lane road. A plane had just left a trail directly in front of us, right to left. It was a thick, white trail but it had two gaps in it, very clearly defined. I have no idea how this could happen if the trail was coming from the engines.
By the time we reached home the trails began to spread out a bit. The very first trail that I saw around 8:00am was still there at 11:30am! I just couldn’t believe my eyes. I went inside the house to take care of a few things and then set out to go golfing.
I went to the range and hit a few balls while keeping an eye on the sky. I teach astronomy as well as physics so I often look at the sky while I’m outdoors. Some of my friends have occasionally made fun of me for this behavior. On the 1st hole the trails had smeared out across the sky in a large whitish-gray mass. There were no longer individual trails discernable. The sunlight was diffused and the sky was no longer blue. By the time we reached the 4th or 5th hole I needed to put on a sweatshirt and a pullover because the temperature had dropped 10 degrees in 30 minutes.
The following Monday was very similar. It started out very clear in the morning and many contrails became visible all through the day. By early afternoon the trails had spread out diffusing the sunlight and the temperature dropped several degrees in a short time.
I’m neither an alarmist nor a conspiracy nut. I’ve spent my life studying physics and astronomy and have taught these subjects for 10 years. I’ve spend time outdoors looking at the sky because of my profession and I enjoy a clear, blue day as well as a crisp, clear night, and would love to be able to continue to do so. This is what I saw on this day and I will continue to look at the sky as I have done in the past. I challenge you to just look for yourself. Take a few moments over the next couple of weeks to look at the sky, and tell others what you see.
