Police launched an arson investigation Tuesday after an apparent petrol bomb attack at the Iranian embassy in London.

No one was injured in the incident on Monday evening, the Metropolitan Police said, but the door of the embassy in Knightsbridge suffered minor fire damage.

A petrol bomb or similar projectile was likely the cause, although police said this had not been established for certain.
